Some facts about the Queens Family Resource Center..........


                                   
~ In 1994 Health Canada funded the Community Action Program for Children (CAP-C)

~ CAP-C was designed to address the health and developmental needs of all children.

~ South Shore Family Resource Association was incorporated in February 1995 and consists of Queens, Lunenburg and Shelburne Counties.

~ Our programs began in a local Parish Hall, now we are located in the former Mount Pleasant  School (108 College Street).  The building also houses the Queens Daycare Association, Queens Learning Network, and Queens County Food Bank.

~ Funding is renewed by Health Canada every three years based on the submission of a local evaluation.

~ all our programs are FREE

~ we can provide childcare for parents during our    programs

~ we can provide transportation

~ our playroom has learning centers in accordance with Daycare Standards

~ we provide healthy snacks for our programs (thanks to the Liverpool Kiwanis Club)
